About Us – Joe McGovern Transport was established in 1992 by Joe Mc Govern with one Lorry. It has now grown to include a modern fleet of over 40 articulated and rigid lorries. The fleet is one of the most modern operating in the North West. We employ over 50 staff all bringing a vast range of skills to our business.

Quality of service have been the foundation on which Joe has built the business. It is now truly a family run business being managed by Joe and his wife Mary and son Kevin. It has helped bring that personal touch to all aspects of the business. A number of our staff have been with us since the beginning they too have contributed immensely to the growth of the business.

In 2005, the company expanded into warehousing when it constructed over 100,000 Sq. feet of warehouse space to serve the local market in the North West. In 2010, it entered the groupage market and later became one of the founding members of the Pallet Express Network which has now become the number one freight distribution for palletised goods.

The pallet Express Network is the number one freight distribution service for palletised goods in Ireland. We deliver and collect pallets and carton freight in every County in Ireland on an overnight delivery service. Our new purpose-built headquarters was completed in Oct 2020 is fully equipped to meet all the needs of our expanding business to deliver a high-quality transport service throughout the 32 counties of Ireland and beyond to the UK.

We also deliver on behalf of a number of the largest delivery networks in the country such as Masterlink, JMC and Dasher.
