Transport Manager
Careers – Due to continued expansion we now require a Transport Manager to manage our fleet based in our head office.
Role
- 5+ years’ relevant experience and competence would be preferred however we would consider candidates without the 3td level if they had considerable experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of transport operations & planning management.
- Strong business acumen and commercially aware with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong logistical and analytical skills.
- Good geographical knowledge of region.
- Proven background in numerical analysis.
- Commercial/Quality awareness.
- Strong IT skills.

Garage/Workshop Manager/Foreman
Joe Mc Govern Transport require Garage Foreman/ Manager for our busy Garage. The Garage maintains out fleet of Trailers , Rigid and Tractor units.
As Garage Foreman/ Manager you would be expected to be skilled in all aspects of maintaining Trailers , Rigid and Tractor units.
Role
- Experience of Supervising a team of experienced mechanics.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practises of self and others.
- Working with management and mechanics to ensure that the Garage operates in an efficient and productive manner.
- The person will be a committed individual with a positive attitude and capable of developing an effective team with 5 years plus in a similar role preferable working on similar type of equipment.
